This post was written for Bastet’s Pixelventures. Our task was to find evidence of spring’s approach. Spring? Are you kidding me? We just had another ice storm!

Then I remembered this (wishful) photo I took a few weeks ago. Sadly, this is as close as spring will get to Peeay for a few weeks. Especially if we get yet another layer of ice tonight.

Back to Bastet’s Pixelventures.

Georgia explains that:

“Chinese season-wise, we’ve moved into the Earth season again.  If you remember that’s the period between two major seasons…in fact we’re leaving Winter (dedicated to Water) and we’re moving into Spring (dedicated to Wood)!  The Earth season or element is usually a time of uncertainty.  You might say that the main characteristic is that it’s neither one element or the other…the Chinese observed these periods of the year when the seasons were waning but hadn’t yet become the new season and discovered that there were also certain characteristics in human comportment.”
