This is written in response to Carpe Diem #412: Meiseki-ji Temple, and the Buddhist concept of Emptiness – Sunyata. Kristjaan explains this as “a mode of perception in which one neither adds anything to nor takes anything away from what is present, noting simply, “There is this.”
This isn’t a great haiku as it doesn’t capture that instant in time – the pebble dropping into the pond – but I think it responds to the challenge of writing about Sunyata.
