Written for Carpe Diem Haiku Kai: Time Glass, where we were given 12 hours to write a haiku inspired by the prompt “autumn leaves” and this photo of wispy contrails.
Yes, the reality of contrails is less romantic than winter shaking out her hair – but shhhh! – let’s just pretend we don’t know about that for a few minutes.
