Shared with Carpe Diem Haiku Kai: Frost  and One-Four Challenge at Robyn’s Fine Art.   In the One Four Challenge we take one original image and process it in four different ways over four weeks.

Original: A greenish, low-light, smart phone photo of Route 30 (Lincoln Highway) outside McConnellsburg, PA, USA.

WEEK ONE

Green Be Gone! How I remember the day.

WEEK TWO

Third and Final Edit: Used the “urbane” effect to boost the browns and add a dark frame.

Used “urbane” to boost browns & add a dark frame.

WEEK THREE

With an Overlay. Period.

City lights overlay

WEEK FOUR

I am so glad Robyn recommended FotoSketcher!  This is a wonderful program and I’ve had so much fun with its “painterly” effects.

Edit One

“Colored dots” with canvas & “painting 1 watercolor”

Edit Two

“Emergence” with min. abstraction, tiny strokes, max. reps.

I’m going to cheat (gasp!) and add BOTH processes this week because I can’t pick one over the other.  Both are highly abstract – and neither will win the village photo contest (!!!) — but I like them.

As always, polite constructive criticism is welcome.
