Linked to BJ’s Shadorma and Beyond at MindLoveMisery’s Menagerie. The first poem is a Joseph’s Star; the form was created by Christina R. Jussaume. It is a non-rhyming 8-line poem with a syllable count of 1/3/5/7/7/5/3/1. Each stanza is center-aligned so that the finished poem is diamond-shaped.
I was going to make the second poem a shadorma – but at 3/5/3 it felt finished. To make it a shadorma it would have needed to be 3/5/3/3/7/5.
