chickadee dodges /
as snow slips from green branches – /
rings in the bird bath /

We live right on the line – where Black-capped and Carolina Chickadees meet and – um – mingle. But – I think our local chickadees are more Carolina than Black-capped.
That giant block of snow on top of the bird feeder looks treacherous!
